Things to see and do
On 62 glorious oceanfront acres, Hilton Waikoloa Village offers three freshwater swimming
pools, water-slides, Jacuzzis, hidden grottos, and a lagoon filled with colorful tropical fish and
rare green sea turtles. Kayaks, paddleboats, and other 'water-toys' ensure family fun in all but
one pool reserved for adult quiet and solitude.
The water area encompasses four acres of exquisite
swimming, snorkeling, and beach facilities.
Open ocean breakers roll, then gently wash into
the lagoon through rugged reef configurations
that tame the currents and provide a safe arena
for underwater discovery.
In a private cove, guests may have the opportunity
to be part of an interactive program facilitated
by Dolphin Quest®. Marine mammal experts
teach the importance of preserving ocean resources
while guiding adults, teens, and children,
through the memorable experience of learning in
the water, side-by-side with Atlantic bottlenose
dolphins.
Sleek Swiss-made trams and mahogany canal boats transport
guests through resort lobbies, and the shopping arcade, to and from
their luxury rooms. For the unhurried, a walk through the flagstonepaved
mile-long museum promenade is an informative way to get
to any destination in the resort. All rooms and suites have lanais
with views of the gardens, golf course, mountains, or ocean.
Our Tours and Information Desk can also arrange classes for flower lei and Ti leaf lei making,
coconut weaving and hula. Complimentary tours are offered each Saturday morning of Waikoloa
Resort's petroglyph fields.
Freely stroll along flagstone-lined paths and admire Hilton Waikoloa Village's multi-million dollar
art and artifact collection maintained by our own museum curator. Purchase an art guide at one
of the sundry shops and spend an afternoon discovering the features of the three main sections
of our mile-long museum walkway: Polynesian, Asian, and European.
In the center of our museum walkway you will find one of the largest feather lei collections in
Hawaii. Also, visit our exhibit featuring a history of the incredible construction and growth of the
Hilton Waikoloa Village; you will see how desolate lava fields were transformed into the verdant
jungles and streams that make up our paradise. Hawaiian quilt and kahili designed and assembled
by our own Hilton ohana (team members) are also on display to perpetuate the culture of
our island.
